Gary (John G.) Brown laid to rest
LITTLE ROCK Sergeant First Class John "Gary" Brown was remembered at a funeral service for his smile and for his devotion.
The 43-year-old Brown was one of three members of the Arkansas National Guard who were killed along with nine others when their helicopter went down in Iraq on January 20th.
Among those speaking at a funeral yesterday at the Agape Church in Little Rock was Gary Brown's twin brotehr, Larry Brown. He recalled a conversation in which they discussed about how Gary may not return home.
Gary Brown had just returned to Iraq from two weeks leave in Arkansas. Another brother, Phil Brown, told mourners he was grateful that Gary had spent the two weeks before he was killed with family.
